I’m considering pruning my nerve plant/fittonia a little because she’s starting to get top-heavy and lean. She got a little leggy a couple months ago and I think that’s part of the problem since it’s around the bottom and she’s only grown leaves at the top, so I was thinking about trimming some of the leaning stems in the hopes it’ll help her manage them a little easier. Any thoughts? Or is there anything I should do differently? I do also notice she’s getting light brown around the edges of some of her leaves so if anyone might have any advice on that matter it would be appreciated! For the record, I will also say that I’m aware my room is a little lacking in humidity so I do know that’s going to affect her in some way. I’m looking into getting a humidifier but I’m a little pressed for cash at the moment.

These are well known to be difficult. They need high humidity. Often used in terrariums where they grow very well. They will be become leggy and need pruning. This causes them to branch. They also root very easily in water. You could prop some and then add the props to the current planter to create a denser plant.

I would say maybe not enough light? Mine still looks like this directly under window
