I just bought a SANSI grow light and holy cow is it bright! I don’t know if I need to return it or go back to the lights that died every couple of years. Though this one might last longer. I guess that’s the point. I’m just afraid it’ll burn my plants… or maybe I’ll get a lower wattage? Thanks for listening to my I just woke up brain dump
I have many Sansi lights. I have burned a couple succulents with them. For tropicals, keep them about a foot or more away from the plant.

i LOVE sansi!! this light looks great! the only time i’ve burned a plant using them was when the light fell off what it was mounted on (this was user error) — nothing in this photo looks like it would burn from the output, but you can check the lighting specifications in the item description, from there you can research recommendations on how far from the plant it should be to be most beneficial!
0개 좋아요 Your surprised reaction to the brightness of Sansi is what I try to explain a lot of times and also the reason why online ratings are not reliable for grow lights. Most people have no idea the amount of light needed by most plants, especially succulents. Many reviews praise how bright a light is but are not comparing it to a Sansi or Barrina light because they have never had either one. Not sure but it looks like you have one of their brightest bulbs, I think 42 watts. I have three of those. They have many other bulbs of lower wattages. Sansi bulbs have a more narrow light width which makes them more concentrated and stronger. That makes them perfect for succulents. Barrina lights have wider light width. I actually use them on my tropicals. And it’s a brand you may want to check out. Well that’s my infomercial for the day. Didn’t mean to be so lengthy.
Nice set up! I got a 36w bulb. I looked at the Barrina ones as well, but the only ones I saw on Amazon was more of a bar light. I will check their website. It’s a little jarring since it’s right next to the TV.
