I got my watermelon peperomia about four months ago. It has been making new leaves, but they are actually growing in curled. A number of the original leaves are also curled and getting brown tips. Does anyone have any advice on this?

So my watermelon peperomia has also given me more difficulty than my other peperomia. I had similar issues and asked here and got some advice that is helping him. First he wasn’t getting quite enough sunlight and I think I was overwatering him. He should be watered when he dries out. I also pruned a few of the extra large brown tip leaves off recently so I’ll see if that helps him or not.

いいね 1件Curling and tip browning is often a low humidity, moisture issue

いいね 1件FYI I learned pretty recently that misting plants doesn’t help. It doesn’t really change the humidity and it puts like water beads on the leaves that can act like magnifying glasses for the sun and burn the leaves. It’s better to just get the watering schedule correct or buy a humidifier. I turned off the planta misting recommendations. A water meter is more helpful and less than $15 on amazon.
0件のいいねI disagree, misting does make an impact. And that's not only in seeing in plant improvement. But also having a constant hygrometer reading. Misting can increase the humidity by 20-60% for several hours.
