How do you deal with your plants when you go away on a 10 day vacation? How do you notify the app?

    I like to turn off notifications or skip tasks while I'm away. To keep plants alive water plants thoroughly or set up pebble trays before leaving for vacation. Keeping plants close together also helps to retain moisture. Hope this helps :)

    I went away for 7 days and just skipped tasks! Lost 5 plants of a collection of 200+. That was my first time leaving home that long! And I over watered before I left but a heat wave hit while I was gone over 100 for a day! Next time I would share the app and have a watering friend for my plants lol 😂 bc one plant cost me $200 to replace!

    I come and go, a lot, but I love my babies! If it is a short trip -14 days, I put them all together, I set my timer for the grow lights, I set the blinds so they don’t get any direct light. Check all of them to make sure they are good and moist, then I snooze the app. I have never lost any doing this, but we have had some unexpected results like cacti flowering, and extra growth!

      Cindy, I do what you do but how do you snooze the app? I feel like a dummy sometimes. 🙃 😆

      So in the app when it shows you your daily tasks, tap on the task you plan to skip and a menu with 3 items will appear. Snooze is always available and there are options or reasons for snoozing. I.E. still too moist, skip etc. if you snooze the app keeps track and reminds you again in a few days.

    When I leave for a long time, I use a big five-gallon bucket of water and soak pieces of clothesline in it. I then put several pieces of the clothesline into each pot, with the ends down near the roots. They aren't exactly watering the plants, but the clothesline stays damp and keeps the soil around the roots slightly moist so the plants don't dry out and die. This isn't my exact setup but pretty close I grabbed this picture from Google. I only wick from the top when I travel. I find the plants take too much water. This is something I do with my indoor plants. I haven't tried it with outdoor plants yet, but I've been away for as long as 14 days and come back to find my plants doing great.
