Question about the location for my money tree. My husband got me a money tree about two weeks ago, and the only spot I have for right now is in our bedroom, however, it only gets light in the afternoon/ evening as the window is west facing. According to Planta, it is too dark of a space, but it’s been there for over a week and I don’t see any signs of it being in distress as of yet . I watered it once I brought it home because the soil was extremely dry, but that’s the only watering I’ve done so far. Just hoping to get a few opinions on whether this location would be OK for it or if I need to find a brighter location TIA!!

I think it would be fine, I know they do like a lot of light but afternoon sunlight is more harsh and strong so I’d say it would be good there. However, if you do notice it struggling or just want to optimize its growth more, maybe look into getting a floor lamp and then a grow light bulb. I have some grow light bulbs in my table lamps and I turn them on when the sun makes its way above my house (i have Eastern facing windows) that way the plants under the lamp are never in the shadows. They’ve been loving it and actually turning their leaves towards the lamps

For reference, this is its current location We are planning on getting a small stand for it to raise it up closer to the windows

I think it's in a good spot. I would just check your blinds. If you squat and you're at the eye level with your plant, look up at the sky, if the blind if blocking the sky, I would reverse the blinds and make sure it doesn't block the sun for the plant

We keep them open all day, and the sunlight does hit the spot where it is sitting for about two hours before it goes behind trees. Once we get a stool and raise it up a little bit, the sunlight will hit it a little sooner.

A stool would help! Best of luck! It does have nice three windows, I think it will do fine!

Update! Got a nice planter and moved it to the other window. Just need to secure it in the new pot and I think he will do fine. Now I just need to get more plants to even it out 😁
