Hi! New here. I have a question about watering. Should the soil be completely dry before I water again? Does it need to be dry 1” into the soil? I ask bc my plants are usually still too wet when I get my task reminder to water and I have to snooze for days and days. Not soaking but definitely wet or at least damp. Thanks for any help.
hi!! i think it depends on the plant. some like to be kept a bit more moist than others. succulents *usually* like to be dried out and then have a GOOD watering. like..water board them 🤣but it depends on what plants you have
2 likesThanks. The one I’m mostly concerned about is my Monstera. I replanted & moved it in early January and lost some leaves. It was big and full and now is down to 3 leaves. I have a moss pole but not quite sure how to keep it damp or wet without watering the soil so it’s been mostly dry (the moss pole). The 3 leaves are doing pretty well. I’m really trying to be careful with it.

If you are getting the watering task way too early, check your settings input to see if something is amiss. But I’ve had that happen also. My monsteras I let get halfway dry, or more.
