What in the world is my Venus fly trap doing?? At first thought the sprout was just a new head forming but then it kept growing and growing and growing. The long shoot has this bulb on it but it doesn’t look like a new head anymore. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong?

    It’s a flower! Just be mindful once it blooms, the heads may start to die because it takes a lot of energy. You can enjoy it but I usually cut it off

    They grow up extending like that so that other insects can pollinate the flower without getting caught in the traps.
