    It is deciduous so it is entering its Fall colours in preparation for winter and will grow new green leaves in spring. So this is normal.

      You are correct my friend. I fed it heavy for about a month before it dropped so that it will hopefully have the nutrients it needs to explode in spring. 🤞🏼

      It is also has another name and that’s living fossil due to it’s species being tens of millions of years old.

      This will be my second winter with this tree! I have a bunch of trees….. honestly… but I think I can take on more lol

      Here is one of my favorites. It’s a ficus and I think I am partial to this one because it was my first tree.

    I love a ginkgo leaf shape. 😍I have brass bookmarks cut like ginkgo leaves because the tree can’t grow outside in my area. I did not know they sold bonsais of ginkgo trees. Thanks for sharing.

      If you have years to dedicate to it almost any tree can become a bonsai. Within reason lol. I have many, some big some small. Deciduous trees and conifers. But everything grows nicely down here in my state.
