Generally, what is the overall best window for plants? I have an east and south window in my room. I’m getting a plant stand to put all my plants on and I want to know which one would be the best.

It’s not a great answer, but it depends on the plant. South windows get light all day, so high-light plants will do well there (particularly flowering plants). East windows will have shade in the afternoon, so lower-light plants will do better there
1 me gustaOK, my south window has a house next to it so is that going to affect the amount of sunlight it gets?

Probably! What kind of plants do you have?
0 Me gusta3 spider plants, a bunch of succulents, a small monsteria, snake plant, ivy, pothos, crispy fern, and about 3 other plants.

My guess is those will do fine in the East window. Let’s see if others have opinions on that.
1 me gustaThe succulents would all do best in the south window, and the others would probably do best in the east window

South if you have double paned glass will grow basically any houseplant. East will be better for stuff that prefers less light.
1 me gustaOkay, thank you

I forgot to mention south is only super strong if you’re in the southern hemisphere. It’s the opposite for people in the northern hemisphere
0 Me gustaOkay thank you
1 me gustaThat’s the other way around, south is strongest in the north and weakest in the south

You’re right! Thanks!
