Does anyone have this plant? I’m new to taking care of plants and I noticed little gnats started coming out of the soil. I read that it’s from overwatering, so I stopped watering it! But the gnats keep coming out and I don’t know what else to do.

They are awful! I’ve been battling almost a year! I don’t know about overwatering, but mine were in the soil I bought from Home Depot. I used it to transplant a couple plants and I’ve been weeping ever since!
0 J'aimeThis may be unpopular opinion but I buy the mosquito bits and follow the instructions for getting rid of fungus gnats on the package. It does work and then I make sure not to let my soil stay too wet and also if I have any drip trays to empty those frequently. I also have little gnat sticky traps that stick in the pot. I brought them home in a new plant unknowingly.
1 j'aimeTo piggy back this, you can buy the mosquito dunks and just keep one in your watering can to always have mosquito bit tea to water your plants with. I keep about a quarter of a dunk in my watering can until it’s sinks or starts to break apart too much then I put a new one in. Also, zevo plant bug traps are wonderful as well as the yellow sticky traps. If it’s not a plant that can handle drying out and staying dry for a few days, always water with mosquito bit tea. It kills the eggs and larvae and the parents will either die off naturally or be caught by the sticky traps.
2 J'aimeHave you tried putting cinnamon in the soil
