Is that a Jade?
0 J'aimeNo, I don’t think so. I honestly have no idea what type of plant it is.
0 J'aimeMost succulents like water only when the top inch is completely dry. And nice indirect sunlight…
0 J'aimethis is echeveria. that soil looks very dense, and that damage looks like edema (scarring) from overwatering. it needs new soil with more additives, like sand and orchid bark. find an aroid soil mix. only water once the leaves become soft, and always check before you water. planta has a habit of telling you to water far too frequently.
5 J'aimeThanks for the tips! The poor plant has had a very rough life and I am trying my best to keep it alive.
5 J'aimeThat’s the basics of what I know
0 J'aimeIt needs a smaller pot by the looks of it!
2 J'aimeI think it may be a type of sedum or grapto, or hybrid of the two. Kinda hard to tell for sure. I would propagate it. Cut off the tops leaving enough stem to securely stick into soil. Let the cuttings callous over a day or so. Then plant them directly into some good quality succulent soil. Water the soil at the base of the stems using a squirt bottle. Do not water the entire pot. Water them every few days or if the leaves look dry. In two weeks they should have some roots. Gently tug on the plant feeling for any resistance. When established, only water when entire pot of soil has been dry for a few days. Terracotta pots are what I suggest. This plant will need lots of light. Do not use Miracle Grow cactus soil without amending it with pumice or perlite or some other grit. My soil in pic. I just used this soil to repot my peperomia frost and it would be good for your plant as well. My soil is Jacks Gritty mix with potting soil added.
