Getting my garden ready, Is there any experts that can help guide me in preparing for winter? As the season change and it cools down I’d like to know which flowers are best grown indoors and will have me prepared for season? My plan is to plant flowers and have them ready to be repotted by next season , I’d love for tips and tricks on growers guides and watering tips.

I like to start my Alyssums by seed in December, but it really depends on what zone you’re in for when to start seeds. Bottom watering is usually best and the heating mat should help with germinating. Also some seeds need a cold spell in the fridge first and then some seeds need to soak in water overnight. Nasturtium seeds need a little cut in the seed to get them going.

Hello gramma, I’ll go ahead and plan to grab some alyssums, and nasturtium seeds. So I have starter cups, would it be ideal to place one single seed in each. (they are so small) or can I sprinkle a few like salt in one hole.

I do sprinkle the alyssum seeds because they are so tiny but the nasturtiums I use 2 per cup and separate them if both come up 😁
