So … I have a bug problem it seems, and these stickies only help catch them but doesn’t solve the problem. What are your thoughts on the peroxide and water mixture? Was told today it’s a game changer after just one dosage!!

Get butterworts which are carnivorous plants that are very efficient at capturing gnats and they dissolve them to absorb the nutrients from them and no need to replace them like the stick bug trap your using.

The peroxide mix would help, or mosquito dunks. If you're looking at a watering option. I primarily use predatory mites and nematodes and it's made a huge difference. Just make sure to keep treating as their life cycle is approx 2 months. And the watering will only kill larvae.

One reason that may be causing the fungus gnat issue is potting medium that is staying wet for too long and isn’t getting proper wet / dry cycles. 1. Adjust watering frequency to let the medium dry out more between waterings 2. Use a chunky potting mix that dries out faster 3. Increase air flow 4. Increase light These should help address the root cause of the issue. For prevention, you need to attack both stages of the life cycle. I would recommend beneficial nematodes and bonides systemic granules to kill the larvae. You need to treat your entire collection at the same time. Yellow Sticky traps or zevo electric fly traps for the adults. I use nematodes with every watering and do not have issues with fungus gnats with my indoor plants. Good luck.

The yellow sticky things only get the gnats flying around. Gotta get what’s in the soil. I use Systemic Houseplant Insect Control and works wonders.

I used the yellow stickers to get the adults. Then, i added 4 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide to 2 cups of water and top watered the plant the first time I did this and from that point I bottom water all plants with this mix. I got rid of gnats in a month
