What does this leaf on my dieffenbachia mean? Is it a bottom leaf that was going to die anyways. Or is this over watering? Just got him.

Kind of a little bit of both. Dieffenbachia does tend to drop old leaves, but they drop more readily with insufficient water or light. I wouldn’t worry about it too much and wait to snip it off until the whole leaf turns yellow.
1 mi piaceThank you! Much appreciate the advice. I’m giving him 2 weeks to acclimate to the house before I repot him to see what’s going on. Someone else suggested more light so he is also in a new window. Btw his name is Ted. Also, love your collection 😍

Thank you! Yes, they are my spoiled babies. As for dieffenbachia, I feel like they are one of the most easygoing houseplants. They seem to adapt to however much light they’re given, thrive with little water, and just keep growing tall. Absolutely one of my favorite genera ❤️
