I’ve always used rooting hormone, stick the stem in that and then directly in soil. Here’s mine

Whenever I’ve propped in water with mine it curls a lot too. Don’t worry, it will still put out roots just be careful of the water level and their position in it!

I put mine in a tiny nursery pot with my soil mix and put the dome on, close the vent and mist the inside of the dome every morning/evening, making sure the leaves don't touch the sides. You can also put her in a biz ziplock bag, blow it up with your breath in the same way ya would to fog up a mirror (if that makes sense) and zip it closed while youre still blowing so it gets as full as possible. The moisture from your breath gets that humidity in there. Ya can also put a bit of slightly damp paper towel in there. The main thing is keeping the humidity up! She has no roots yet so all her moisture intake has to come from the air. Don't water the soil, just moisten it a little bit, thats it! Then put her in a warm bright spot (not direct sunlight) and do an "air swap" at least once a day, change out the paper towel same time. She'll perk right back up for ya if she hasn't lost too much moisture. May take a day so be patient. Best of luck!

Very welcome! This is the latest baby. Accidentally broke her off 🫣 Another cool trick is use keiki paste on any bare nodes, good chance they'll grow back. I used it on my baby polkadot and my pink ficus and the leaves are growing back!

This happened to me when I propped some coleus cuttings. I just kept making sure it hadn't curled up out of the water and eventually they rooted. They're now in soil and going strong!
