OK my ZZ had a couple branches that were loose so I figured something fell on it and they broke but then I realized that the branches just pulled out of the dirt and are brown and mushy. Any idea what caused this? I’m so sad.🤍🪴

Looks like overwatering. They prefer to dry out completely between watering. I also learned the hard way when I first got mine

Yup, overwatering for sure. I use a bamboo skewer to make sure it’s dry ALL the way down in the bottom of the pot. If it comes out clean then it’s time to water
1 LikeRoot/stem rot 😓 you want the soil to dry all the way out. These guys like to get all the way thirsty before a good soak

You may want to be sure the soil drains well, or the pot has drainage.

This helps to make sure the roots aren’t sitting in water.
