I just got this pothos plant a couple days ago, and I’m wondering the best way to take care of it, especially for watering! I’m almost completely new to gardening, and I’ve heard a couple different recommendations for how to water and I’m not sure which method to use. Method 1: spray bottle + bottom watering when the plant is dry in the top 2 inches Method 2: just bottom watering Question: is it better to water a pothos when it is completely dried out or just the top 2 inches? I’ve heard both.

I usually bottom water my pothos when it’s dried out. That’s what works for me. This is mine so far. Just propagated two from her!

Pothos are super easy and don’t require bottom watering. I water about every 10 days and I take it to the sink and let the water run through it from the top out the bottom. What they don’t like are little snacks of water. I give it a spray with the sprayer from the sink every other time to clean the leaves. Just my experience.

I only water when my pothos leaves start to droop, they tell you when they need water. Bottom watering is usually the most beneficial way of watering

I water when the whole thing feels light. Heavy means the soil is full of water

My mom is a pothos queen (this is just one of her monsters) and lemme just say... There is nO way she bottom waters. Lol. She just dumps water on them every 7-10 days

I bottom water pothos (and everything else that's not in a self watering pot lol) Helps prevent gnats and gives me a chance to wrap new growth around the trellis
