I had the best laugh today. Actually I laughed so hard my stomach is sore. Why you are asking? Cause Planta just informed me that in 2 days it wants me to REPOT 31 plants all in one day!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Well, that’s never going to happen. For one thing it’s still extremely cold here in New Hampshire, plus we still have 18 inches of snow on the ground!!!!! My Potting Bench is still buried with snow and that’s where I do my repotting. Spring doesn’t happen here in New Hampshire until May!!!!! Planta needs to accommodate for this plus I will NEVER repot all my plants at once, way too exhausting, and some of them won’t need it. Thought you fellow plant friends would appreciate the absurdity of this task!!!! I’d love to know what others think too, Have a good day!!!!

    I wrote to Support about this. Their response was sensible. Maybe you could write them about the program not using your location in its calculations? Seems like a software defect to me and I’m sure they would like to fix it! (I’m assuming that your location is set in the app.) Here is the reply I received: Hi, Thanks for reaching out, I totally get why that looks a bit off at first glance. For repotting. We generally recommend repotting in spring, and the app calculates the “safest” time window to repot. Because many plants end up with a similar ideal window, it can result in lots of repot tasks landing on the same day. In Planta we recommend repotting most plants about once per year, but we know it’s not always realistic to do them all at once, so we try to spread some out across a week when possible. And of course, you can always snooze a repot task or skip it if you don’t want to repot a specific plant this year. For fertilizing, this can also happen because fertilizing is often scheduled every other watering. Let me know if you have any other questions. Best, Emma, Planta

      Thanks for reaching out. Yes I wrote to them about this last year when it happened. Yes my location is noted in my app. I just skip them and do them when it’s a better time and mark them repotted then. I just thought I would share the fact that I had a such a good laugh today. 😁

    Ya, im in MI and I dont dare to do "spring" tasks til April at earliest. I got a planting station for xmas and decided to set it up indoors to utilize year round but i usually pick a weekend in April to do a mass outdoor overhaul for my plants. I set up my folding tables in the driveway and soak up the sun with my plants and casually repot them. I enjoy it.

    Planta has divided the year into two parts. Each is six months. Warm part started March 1. That day I was optimistically tasks with fertilizing 50 plants. Some were just recently watered and others due to be watered in a few days. Supposedly they have fixed that glitch. The following day I was tasked with repotting 50 plants. All of which I skipped. The balance of the repotting (135) has not shown up yet.

    Yeah. I have almost 200 plants and it did that to me too. I told it to ignore all of them!

      It’s so nice to know I’m not the only one who thinks this is ridiculous to think we’d repot ALL our plants in the same day. Tomorrow is the day it wants me to do it and yes I will be saying skip to ALL of them. 😉
