Maybe it is overwatered. Causes same symptoms. But you can easily check by feeling the soil.

I watered it the first time about two days ago and made sure the soil was moist but when I got it from the store the soil was completely dry maybe I did over water, I just repotted it so hoping it’ll be good!

If it was dry when you got it, you didn’t do anything wrong.

I hope it gets better soon! Sometimes a plant can get a little shocked moving from place to place so cross your fingers and hope it bounces back from the move from the store to your house.

I got a dieffenbachia from Lowe’s a couple months ago and it took me a minute to figure out it’s watering schedule. I was under watering it, but when that was happening, the leaves would turn kinda yellowish over the course of a day or two and then they would go straight brown. I finally figured out mine likes to be watered every four or five days. This may not be the case for your plant but I hope it might help. Good luck!

Ya I’m definitely still figuring out it’s watering schedule since I only got it a week ago :)

If it was overwatered by one watering then there was something wrong at the place where you bought it. Does the pot have drainage? If not I would repot it. Also, if it was dry did you water it until water drain from the bottom, assuming there is drainage. If the bottom Roots aren't getting water it could cause problems.

I did just repot it today but the original pot has drainage holes holes as well the first time I watered it I just put the pot in some water until it was absorbed and then I realized I should have used the method you mentioned but today I decided to just repot it with some moist soil and didn’t water it cause I was scared of the overwatering should I re-water it in the new pot?
