Anyone know what might caused these? All of my new born leaves have these dark brown spots. I’m pretty sure I didn’t overwater it that much. Maybe once in the past and this has become a major problem. Thanks!

I googled rust fungus and philodendron: To eliminate rust fungus on your philodendron, your most critical steps are to quarantine the plant, prune heavily damaged leaves, and thoroughly spray it with a copper fungicide. However, according to houseplant care guides from Chalet Boutique, philodendrons naturally produce small glands called extrafloral nectaries (EFNs) that look almost identical to rust, so it is important to confirm the diagnosis before treating your plant. Rust Fungus vs. Extrafloral Nectaries (EFNs) Before applying chemical treatments, use these indicators to verify what is on your leaves: • Rust Fungus: The spots look like powdery, raised, orange-brown or reddish blisters. If you wipe them gently with a damp white tissue, a rust-colored powdery spore residue will rub right off. The spots will slowly multiply and spread to nearby leaves. • Extrafloral Nectaries (EFNs): These are completely healthy, harmless sap glands. They form small, flat, or slightly raised spots that feel sticky to the touch due to sugar secretions. They do not rub off as powder and typically cluster close to the midrib or main veins.
