I live in zone 9, do you think my regal shield will thrive outdoor? I took her out today to get some sin and to wash the dust off her leaves but I think this area has sufficient shade/light for her size. She’s outgrowing the inside of the house.

Thank you! She’s just getting too big to keep inside

I also have a regal shield that outgrew the house AND live in zone 9! As long as it doesn’t freeze, she’ll thrive! They stop pushing leaves out if the temp goes much under 50F. So I just moved mine in for the winter. It may not be necessary depending on exactly where you are though!

I’m in the North Long Beach area so it doesn’t get too cold.

I have a Regal Shield and I’m also zone 9b, but mine is super happy indoors

Mine is happy inside as well but it’s just getting too big to keep indoor. I had a patio outside where I keep my giant Hawaiian Pothos and bat flowers so I’m just hoping the regal keeps thriving outside as well.

Is that some kind of philodendron? Or elephant ear? I actually have both-they are outside in zone 9. If there is a freeze I cover with a sheet and keep away from harsh winds but otherwise they are doing very well.

Alocasia, I don’t have anything outside other than Pothos and a bat flower so I was a bit curious if the Alocasia would do fine. We don’t get much of a freeze or anything below 50 so I think it should be good.

My word. That pothos is gorgeous. I have some indoors and outdoors, but no poles on any of them. I’m toying with the idea of planting some at the base of my two trees on my backyard, so they can grow up the tree.
