A student gave me this plant, and it had purple flowers on it. The flowers have since died, but the leaves are going strong. Does anyone know what plant this is?

eatyacarbsThey love bright indirect light and/or a splash of morning or evening sun. Bottom water only, the fuzzy leaves don’t like to be wet, and water only when bone dry. I use fox farm “big bloom” and dead head the spent blooms to help promote flowers 🌸 😊

African violet fertilizer also promotes frequent blooming
