Does anyone else find that the Planta App has an aggressive fertilizer schedule in the summer?

      Yes, the combo of watering and fertilizing (with liquid fertilizer) would kill most of my plants if I didn’t use a moisture meter and skip every second fertilizer reminder.

    It told me to fertilize my Euphorbia yesterday but it’s outside and been being 100+. She’s shaded, yes, but still.. hard pass

    If you dig into some of the information throughout the app, there’s plenty of explanation as to why the schedule is higher in the summer. Basically plants grow more during summer> more growth requires more fertilizer> more fertilizer at once causes burns so fertilize more often. When just doin stuff on here one day I accidentally found the schedule for an entire year for a plants watering, fertilizing, and repotting. It had like 9 fertilize during summer, only 1 in winter, Spring was about 5, and fall was 3. I don’t remember how to get to all this information unfortunately because this was a while back and I haven’t gotten to the page since

      If you go to the specific plant, you can scroll down past the pic, to a menu that starts with “To Do, Care info, Propagation and History“. Select Care Info. On that page, scroll down to fertilizer and select “Learn about Fertilizing”. That will give you the monthly break down.
