Bernie Botanical 🌿

Just brought this cutie home! Can anyone please tell me what it is and any care tips? I’m assuming it’s a succulent that prefers to stay dry. I’m hoping to place it near my south facing window with indirect light most of the day and a little direct sun.

I believe string of bananas or string of dolphins. More likely dolphins based on colors. What fun names, huh?

Love the names lol! Are they tricky to take care of?

This is actually a Crassothonna Capensis aka Ruby Necklace. Very easy to care for and grows quite fast!

I got this as a tiny plant 2 years ago and it’s grown into this monster of a plant! I’ve chopped and propped it a couple times and given it away to friends. It even bloomed a bunch of cute little yellow flowers for me that lasted a few months

How adorable!! 🥰 I can’t wait to see it grow and propagate! Are they picky with watering or the amount of light it needs?

In my experience, they’ve been very easy-going. The south-facing window should be perfect, and I usually wait until the leaves are a bit soft before fully saturating the soil mix again. Happy growing!
