Hi everyone! I’ve been trying to figure out how to keep water from dripping out of my hanging plants when I water them. I’m thinking about trying these. 1. If you've used them before, what did you think? 2. DYI suggestions also appreciated. TIA

Those look smart. I've given up on hanging since I was taking mine up and down every time they needed watering and it's just a pain to get them out and back in without disturbing everything

That’s look a like a good Idea. I water mine just until it starts coming out of the bottom and then I have a paper towel to soak it up out of the tray. I soak it up and then I ring it out into an empty plant pot and soak up some more. Your way definitely looks easier.

I'm concerned that the clear retrofit containers will show algae or dirt at the bottoms.

I have mine in these self watering pots from Amazon. I don’t use them as self watering I still top water, but I love how they have great drainage and it’s basically a built in catch tray! I have also just used nursery pots inside a decorative catch pot but that was kind of a pain to take out the nursery pot.

I have self-watering pots too. I’m just not a fan of them for hanging baskets because the water can spill out when you tip the plant to see what’s going on with the soil.

I use naked root planters for my hanging plants and they are great because they hold all the drips.

Look up naked root on the web. Won’t let me post a link here.

They’re a little pricey but literally every plant I put in one does well. They’re so worth it!

I'm ordering one to try it out. Thanks for the tip!

These look interesting. I may have to buy one and try it out for some of my plants that are struggling. See if it makes a difference.

Be careful still to empty the water out once the plant has fully drained to avoid root rot and bugs!
