Hi there! I am a beginner and new to the plant community. I bought this gorgeous Peace Lily and I’m wondering where to place it in my house. The plant app says that I shouldn’t have it in my guest room because it’s north west facing. But when I do research on it, it says Northwest is fine. I want it to have the best potential for blooming, etc.. where do you guys put yours?
Awesome! I found that ~north facing was not enough light but this is compounded by a large tree outside. Now mine live further away from the window with dedicated grow lights but have done really well - so definitely an option if you’re set on the room!
I’m not completely set on the room, as I plan to buy more plants that are easy to take care of. Do you find grow lights to be expensive with the energy bill?
0 likes Bigger expense was the lights themselves. The tall bar was £55, and I estimate it around £5 per month to run for 14hr days. I have 3 of them. To be honest, I haven’t consciously registered a different in the energy bill.
