Money Tree Help!!! My money tree keeps dropping leaves on the lower part of the plant, but continues to have growth up top. I am on a consistent watering schedule and it is close to a window getting bright light for at least 10 hours. I don’t know if it’s normal for them to drop leaves? She’s been causing me some stress haha. Any help in the comments would be appreciated!!

It looks like it still needs more light, since it is leaning and the petioles are long and internodal space is pretty wide. They need to be getting direct light for several hours a day to thrive indoors. That would probably solve your issues, also it is better to water it whenever it needs to be watered, not on a set schedule.

agree with low light, but this is also definitely nutrient deficiency. new growth being unaffected is the big detail here.

Should I position the grow lights over the top of the new growth or towards the bottom? I have been fertilizing it every three weeks

over the top of the plant. they don't branch on their own so if you want growth back near the base you have to cut it

temporary solution but not a permanent one. maybe you can put a shelf above your desk and clip it to that?

I think it’s a watering issue. These plants won’t let you be a single day late for when THEY want water. Consider watering yours the day (or two) before the app recommends and see how that works for you. Essentially, if planta says water every 6 days, water every 5…
