I recently changed the medium of my Regal shields to a Leca/Moss set up. I plucked about 30 - 45 huge corms and there's no way I can pot all these. Realistically, how long can I store these corms? Do they have a shelf life? Can I keep them in this container or will they die? Is that even a thing? What's the best way to store corms without planting them?

had they already fallen off or did you pluck them? if you plucked them, they're not going to store well because they're not fully mature. only mature corms are going to store well long term, similar to the rhizome of an active plant during dormancy. immature ones will get mad at you and rot lol. if they're all immature your only option is sprouting all of them or tossing them out/giving them away. look into local 'buy nothing' groups or 'buy, sell, trade' groups on facebook. even if nobody there wants them, they usually have good ideas of what business nearby might be interested.

0개 좋아요 in that case they can be stored in a cool dry place with good airflow to prevent rot. they should be in a relatively dark spot so they don't try to sprout. dry them out on a towel for a day or two and then into a paper bag on the ground or behind something so they can still get some air. a lot of people have success storing them for a year or two
