Just got a really small peace lily domino delivered, its super tiny and the roots are about 1/2 inches long, it had a little bit of rot, but I switched too soil that is dry, how long should i wait before watering ?

typically you water right after repotting to settle the soil. did you remove all the mushy rotten roots? if not, the rot will continue to spread. i like to cut off about an inch above every rotten end and spray with undiluted (3%, topical) hydrogen peroxide to kill any remaining microbes causing the rot

it should be good to water then! i would recommend you water lightly at first— don’t saturate the soil as you normally would, just enough that it’s all evenly moist. saturated soil is great for a thirsty, healthy root system but can suffocate stressed roots. wait for the top half inch or so of soil to be dry before watering again to prevent the rot from recurring
