Has anyone got flowers from their HOYA Crimson Queen? I’ve watched a lot of videos and seen a lot of people that they say they never get it on their queen. And if you do, please tell me how you do it? I live in California. I have self facing windows and it thrives in that environment and it loves it. I’ve got tons of growth, but no flowers. Thx šŸ„°šŸŒæšŸƒšŸŒ±šŸŒ±

Wow I never realized this. So I have a Krimson Princess, not a Queen. I got about 6 separate plants when I bought mine years ago and over time, most have lost their variegation due to insufficient light. Now that I look, none of the plants that kept their variegation have ever flowered, only the plain Hoya carnosas. I mean, it makes sense because it takes a lot of energy to flower. That said, I have only east and west facing windows. I’m certain if you give yours enough light (maybe supplement with a grow light?), it should flower eventually. It just might take longer. Hoyas can often take years before they finally put out peduncles.

I have both H. carnosa ā€˜Krimson Queen’ & ā€˜Princess’ ). Both of mine have flowered here in Nevada. The odd thing with my princess is that the vine that gets peduncles is reverted. I know it’s reverted and not a standard carnosa is because the flowers are different than my heirloom carnosa but the same as the Krimson Queen. I have mine hanging in an East facing window so that they get morning sun, and I try to keep my household humidity around 40-45%. They are also snug in their pots with a good, chunky soil mix.

My Krimson Princess is hanging in an east facing window and it is about to bloom for the first time since I got it over a year ago. I live in Montana where the humidity is low. I don’t use a humidifier or a grow light for the plant. It is in a chunky soil.
