Is there any hope of getting this dumb cane back to health? It’s been through some neglect in the past year, and it’s also been quite picky with light and watering. I’ve added it to my plant care schedule on Planta, so now I know the proper care it needs and hopefully it will recover. If you have any tips, though, please share!

I sell these often. First things first. Get this baby into a smaller pot until you see new growth - which would be a few months of care before major happenings start. Cut the top of that long one off just a few inches to get that dead off. Nice airy soil would be great for it. They will grow from the soil up or they may choose to grow from the nodes. Keep the soil moist not soaking wet. Summer time maybe every 10-14 days. Depends on how dry the soil gets. Keep it in indirect light and love on it. It will come back. They are resilient. I love them.

This is the one I cut and sell at times. Letting it grow for a while and the tall one is mine for the keeping - 😊
