Heyy! I'm brand new to gardening and the only thing I've done before are Tulips, that didn't last long, but I'm starting new this year! I wanted to try zinnias and didn't do enough research and put way too many seeds in one pot. What do I need to do?? Can I leave them or do i need to repot? And how exactly can i do that? Thanks in advance!!

You don’t need to repot, but you do need to thin them out. Better for fewer seedlings to get the nutrients and moisture than for too many to compete. If you let them all stay, none will thrive.

They will need to be heavily thinned out. This size pot can grow 3 or 4 full height zinnias. Redistribute the excess to other pots as the seedlings become bigger. Zinnias are susceptible to powdery mildew and other fungus especially when they are crowded together. Also, it’s late in the season to start zinnias which are plants that need all day direct sunlight unless you live in the tropics (zone 10+) or have a great indoor grow light setup. 🪴🍀

Zinnias get tall enough to fall over from the weight of their flowers. As they gain size, you may want to stake them or use stakes abd string to make a little ring aroubd the pot to help them stay up. As they get to about 2-3 inches tall, you can plant extras in the ground as a thinning method
