I’ve had this little propegation of my philodendron heart shaped Brasil for about two and half weeks and these are the root growth so far. This is my first time propagating and I wanna do it right since I love this plant so much. At least two new leaves have sprouted on each cutting alone, maybe more. Do these look okay so far?

They say put a pothos start in with it and it will take off. Worked for me!

discoloration is totally normal as long as it's still firm. the cut end is just oxidizing due to exposure to light. i would recommend a smaller container, rooting is triggered by hormones and too large of a container can dilute those hormones and make it take longer

I can try to find something smaller, it’s jus that I don’t have very many good options around my house 😅

Hey so I’m propagating a brasil as well. I used small plastic cups and cut the tops off. I used toothpicks to keep the stem from completely falling over.

I use rooting hormone drops for me cuttings. They usually grow roots like crazy. I use a little bit in with the fertilizer too on the days that I fertilize my plants. Seems like it couldn’t hurt, but I am a beginner..
