I got this pothos at a plant swap. It was about 5 feet longer and several people wanted cutting but no one wanted the plant cause it didn't have many leaves at the top. So I took the plant. I took a cutting as well and wrapped the stem around the inside of the pot and I'm hoping it will root and start new leaves. I also have tried Keiki cloning paste on the rest of the plant but nothing so far. I want to take the cutting and add it back into the pot. What is your thought about doing this? I think it has good roots but no secondary ones. Should I wait or go ahead and plant it back with its mama. Thanks for your help.

Hi there, I’d wait until the main roots are all a bit longer and have secondary roots on them to give this cutting a better chance of survival. I love satin pothos, it’s such a gorgeous plant 💚 Best of luck with your baby!

Just FYI, in case you didn’t know, a “Satin Pothos” is actually Scindapsus Pictus Argyraeus. They’re beautiful!
