Iโm so jealous. Iโve had exactly one Alocasia and I killed it. Iโm scared to try again.
1 likeI definitely killed the first one I had too! ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ I realized it wasnโt enough light. They definitely love the indirect (or grow) light! ๐ซถ๐ป
0 likesI stopped using Planta but now that I have like a million plants I decided to try it again and I came across this commentโฆ I actually have this plant now and sheโs doing great! Iโm not as scared of Alocasia anymore. ๐
0 likesWhat do you have her potted in??? SHES BEAUTIFUL ๐ค๐ฝ๐ฉท
1 likeIโve just kept her in the original drainage pot from when I bought her! ๐ค Then I just used the nicer pot to cover it! ๐ I find when I repot them, they donโt like it - so I try to keep them in their originals as long as I can! ๐ซถ๐ป
0 likesOkay so sheโs just in good ole soil right? I had convinced myself that if I get an Alocasia Iโd have to start dabbling in hydroponics and I donโt know that Iโm ready for that! Itโs very encouraging to see yours doing so well! Do you plan on experimenting with different growing mediums? It all seems kind of daunting to me lol
1 likeFor the soil, sheโs just in regular potting mix to my knowledge! Hydrophonics seems advanced! ๐ I donโt think I am there either! ๐ I havenโt went too far out of the norm for growing mediums just yet. I am still figuring out where certain plants will do best in the house. Since my house is a bit darker (lots of trees shade my home). I have got some grow lights though, and they have been really helping with growth! ๐ค๐ผ๐๐ค
