Hey all! I have a question about snake plants. Do they photosynthesize on both sides of the leaf, or just the “front”? *pics in comments

The whole plant is involved in its photosynthesis. But it's not expressly necessary to get light on both sides of the plant

How do you figure that? No plant in the wild is getting specialty treatment and rotated on a need to basis 😆 and yet trillions of plants survive. Specifically talking about snake plants, you may want to research how their photosynthesis process works. As it's a low light plant that does most of its synthesis with closed stomata

Plants are great at adapting and maintaining growth no matter the light placement, as seen so often in Mother Nature, so don’t worry and just provide it with the light you have. My snake plant thrives in my eastern window with lovely direct light from the morning sun and then moving into bright indirect light the rest of the day
