Looking at IKEAs website it seems like they have plants on very reasonable pricing. The closest IKEA to me is a 90min drive so I thought I’ll check with folks here if they have any knowledge of the quality. I’d rather avoid the long trip if the plants are actually in bad shape; not well cared for, etc. Anyonke has seen them? Bought plants from there?
As cute as ikea is, the furniture isn’t great quality so I’m going to assume the same for their plants 😅
1 likeIdk. I have no complaints about the furniture; pieces I have from there have survived 4 moves and the ones I kept have lasted more than 10 years. Also, plants aren’t like furniture - you cannot use cheap materials to produce plants. I’m think more in terms of care - plants in my local nurseries are much better than plants at Lowe’s and HD; but also much more expensive.
2 likesI bought 3 lucky bamboo’s from IKEA and they’ve all been doing great. I don’t know for sure but I remember thinking all the other plants looked fairly healthy too.
0 likesMy only issue with IKEA plants, even though they seem healthy, I’ve noticed they often have lots of gnats. Could just be my local IKEA though
0 likesMy somewhat nearby ikea had great plants; they all looked very healthy and were great prices for thier size. They also had a good selection of pots

I got a couple plants in September ‘25 from Ikea. Both still alive, one lost some leaves and is only now giving me my first home grown leaf. The 2nd plant is doing really great. Overall positive experience for me :)

Agree with the gnat comment so I would treat with something for pests as you should with any new plant. I bought a plant from IKEA and had to throw it away bc it was infested with spider mites. Read some reviews online and lots of others had the same issue, but could just be my local store
