    I don’t think so, from my experience it looks dark brown/black and is mushy. Just brushing through with my hand is enough pressure to knock off affected roots.

    If they are soft and mushy then it’s rot. Root rot will also smell really bad

    They don’t look like rot. I’d double check if the darker areas are mushy. If they are, chop them off.
