One of my bromeliads has started growing pups. I’ve read that they only get as big as the mother. So how does one get bigger bromeliads? Do they just have to be bought large?

    I think that's kind of a misnomer. Technically true, but only because the Brom is going to top out at size for its particular species. So is there a possibility that the pup can grow larger than the mother? Yes, but generally only if there was something stunting her growth.

      If you want larger brom, you'll need to buy species that grow larger
