I got a new Red Kiss Begonia today and when i started to repot i realized a small slug (?) hitched a ride home on my new lil baby. Any harm in this fella hanging out?

Yes. Eradicate immediately. This is not a fun cutesy garden pal like earthworms, night crawlers, butterflies, or bumblebees. This will eat your foliage.
5 J'aimei had a feeling, i’d been watching him slowly move towards the leaves and that’s what prompted my post. i’ll remove, appreciate the guidance!
3 J'aimeI’d remove it just to be safe. 😊 Slugs can nibble on leaves and may lay eggs in the soil. Since it’s a new plant, I’d also keep it quarantined for a week or two and inspect it for any other hitchhikers. Better safe than sorry! 🌿🐌

I brought this guy home about 2.5 years ago from the Lowes (Death) Clearance Cart. It had 1 leaf back then. While waiting to do self checkout I looked into the soil and it was crawling with gnats and other bugs. I thought “Oh hell. This is gross and I’m going to spend money on it?” I think I’m always hoping the Lowes staff will say “You want it? You can have it. Just get it outta here.” Whenever bringing home a plant from plant store, & especially when it’s noticeable, you quarantine a plant away from others, change out the soil, if you can, and use a plant based insecticide like neem oil to ensure that your stowaways don’t have larvae or eggs, waiting to turn into something else.
