Can anybody tell me what these pink spots are on the leaves of my little triangularis ficus? There’s only a couple leaves showing these little spots, and although they look sort of rusty in the pictures, they are actually very pink. And of course, this is the time when it loses leaves, you know, just seasonally. However, I don’t think this has anything to do with the pink spots. TIA!

While I don’t have an answer about the spots, I wanted to say your plant looks great! I have the same one and it’s looking pretty bare right now from losing leaves. Not sure I’m giving it the right environment or not!

I just wanted to reassure you that when a ficus loses its leaves, early spring, and early fall, it’s pretty normal, as all of mine do this to some degree at these times. This is a pic of the same plant I posted earlier, after losing most of its leaves during a seasonal change. I always dread this, because it does take time for my ficus plants to replace their leaves, but this year hasn’t been a bad one for them. They’re only dropping a few leaves here and there, and I’m really happy about that! Anyway, hopefully this will reassure you about why your plant is dropping its leaves. Time and patience will hopefully cure your plant, as it has done mine. Good luck with your ficus!
