I have a plant that I think is a polka dot plant. I bought a pot for it but it doesn’t have any drainage. Is that okay for this plant? If not what is a way for me to add drainage?

It is a polka dot plant! Drainage is always highly recommended. If the nursery pot fits inside the white one, I would just put it in like that and take it out when it’s time to water so it can drain properly! Otherwise, if you really wanted to you can buy a special drill bit to drill holes in the bottom. I purchased a diamond drill bit and have added drainage to all my decorative pots. (:

You can either drill a hole into it with a diamond tip drill bit and water, or keep the plant in a nursery pot and use it as a cover pot.

Great responses from the other comments. My 2 cents would be do a pot in pot. Putting that orange pot inside the white ceramic is easy and effective while looking good. The nursery pot has holes and is raised a little, so it will drain the excess water into the white pot. So it acts as a watering tray in a way. The only thing is be weary of how much you water it because it can sit with excess amount.

I always put my plants in bigger nursery pots, and then set them inside of the real pot so they will still have drainage and u can just sit it back in ur glass pot!

If that will fit inside nicely i would leave it in that nursery pot and sit inside glass pot!
