Depends on how deep and wide you are going but you can get just ground cover like moss or you can get floating plants like duck weed and locus or if it’s deep enough you can get stuff like java fern and Anubis

As cool as it looks, madagascan lace plant is hard to grow. Lotuses take a lot of space (but are very showy if you can fit them), limnophila aromatica "hippuroides" has fantastic color and is supposedly easy. There are a lot of good options if you like red foliage. Vallisnerias have a nice mini-seaweed look. For semi-aquatics, fittonia is a nice easy one. air plants, mini/micro orchids, and bromeliads can all grow as epiphytes and will enjoy the humidity. Mangrove and cypress can be at the water's edge but would need pruning to stay small. Bog and swamp flowers tend to be very beautiful but you'll want to check their care needs. A lot of carnivorous species can work (pinguiculas are a good starter since they can grow without doing the carnivore feeding)
