This little guy just needs to be replanted in a pot with good drainage. Leave the brown sheath at the bottom of the crown sticking out of the soil to get good airflow. You can also stake it with a chopstick or something to help it stand upright. These things are surprisingly resilient and the roots (those big bulbous white things) are actually pretty similar to potatoes. As long as they are maintaining moisture they will survive. Don’t be surprised if you have to wait a couple weeks for it to start sprouting again.

No kidding my spider plant (I thought) died three separate times from the frost or too much sun. It came back all those times and I got a baby out of it. It wasn’t until I got gnats when I had problems with it. I had to separate it so now they are two plants. Just trying to survive lol

i would say to cut off the dead leaves and the brown mushy roots

Color key is right but before planting it back up, you absolutely MUST remove the rotting brown and mushy roots to stop the spread of root rot on the plant. It’s pretty visible on several roots and looks like it hasn’t gotten terribly bad but will not get better without clipping

My spider just needed the appropriate size pot and he is now in good health. Not excellent but trending that way.
