3 of my plants that live on the main floor of my house I have realized are having some pest issues but I haven’t been able to find many at all to try to figure out wha kind of pest it is. So today I mixed water and hydrogen peroxide 3% and sprayed all over the plants top and bottom of leaves, stems, and surface of soil. Then I also wiped all the leaves with a paper towel and a few things had come off but still unable to figure out what pest. I then also added some cinnamon to the tops of the soils because I was worried about some fungus on the top. I did not get a picture of them but is there anything else I should try to free them from any bugs and how often should I come back to spray and wipe them?

I've recently been battling thrips. I knew something was wrong, but it wasn't until I brought the plant into a bright room and looked it over throughly that I was able to see a couple moving on the underside of a leaf. So, far the advice I've received is to be patient, persistent, and it takes multiple times. Dealing with pests isn't a one time application, because pests have varied life stages and killing the adults, still leaves the eggs and larvae to deal with. Another suggestion is to vary the type of treatment you use, especially if you don't know the pest or if things don't improve. Hang in there, you can do this.

If you can figure out the kind of pest, go for beneficial insects. Much easier than all the spraying, etc! You might be able to tell the pest by looking at the damage. What did you notice?

I use Safer's Insecticide Soap or Safer's End All. They both target all sorts of pests plus from eggs, larvae to flying strolling bugs. I usually soak the plant and the earth's surface twice. If any are left I wipe them away. It has worked well for me. .
