Hi y'all! This is Tweedle-Dum. A prop Golden Pothos. They were beautifully rooted with lovely leaves. As I was preparing the soil for potting, my adored fur-baby, Nilla, was also super-excited, and knocked over my prop glass and broke off every leaf :( there were still great roots, so I planted them. This is a month later. Thay are sturdy and feel strong. But are just calloused over and showing no signs of new growth. Do i just need to be patient or is this a lost cauae?

Here's a grouping from the same cuttings from the same day. They are doing wonderfully and already giving me new leaves.

Sorry about your plant! When propagating a pothos, you're supposed to cut a clipping with at least one node on it, because that's where new leaves sprout from. If that node broke off when the plant was damaged, or there was no node to begin with, then there will be no new growth. But your leaf still might develop roots and survive in soil; these kinds of cuttings are sometimes called "zombie propagations" because they can stay alive but can never push out new growth. Your plant's nodes could also be buried in the soil, in which case there actually might be growth but you can't see it yet because it hasn't surfaced. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Also the callousing is not surprising. The plant has made its own "scab" of sorts so it doesn't have an open wound. But nothing can grow from these callouses because they're not nodes, they're damaged leaves.
