Make sure it is in a chunky soil bc they are prone to root rot
1 me gustaDo you have any recommendations on which soil? I was going to add soil/ orchid bark but I'm not sure if it needs different one Thank you for ur comment!! (:
0 Me gustaI use potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite mixed together

0 Me gustaA big mistake people make with monsteras is putting them directly in bright light. Monsteras LOVE light, it helps them make fenestrations, but giving them light when theyre shocked gives them brown spots. Youre doing the right thing keeping it on your counter. Over the next couple of weeks, move it closer and closer to the light. I do this with other plants too, but monsteras are especially sensitive to this
1 me gustaAlso, keep it in a small pot. Dont be worried about it becoming root bound at all, monsteras put out bigger leaves in small pots. I agree with the others that the soil is too tight, i would change to a looser one. Im a fan of sphagnum moss + terracotta pot combo, but i always see monsteras in rocky soils. Whatever works for you, pick one and stick to it.
1 me gustalovethatleaf.com has a great article entitled 'monstera thai constellation the ultimate care guide (and how not to kill them)
1 me gustaSince I have heard they are prone to root rot, I wouldn't use a self-watering pot. But I also have no experience with self watering pots.
