i love her wavy arms 😂
2 Me gustaHaha me too, she definitely has a mind of her own lol 😂
0 Me gustaAww she’s beautiful! Looks like an out of the wild plant
1 me gustaFunkiest looking one for me hands down is my 30 year old jade, Aslan. He’s a cutting from my grandmother’s 60+ year old jade, and my dad has knocked the poor guy over twice. Instead of helping me assess the damage and try to propagate any damaged branches or leaves, he grabbed everything on the ground and threw it away as quickly as possible in hopes my mom wouldn’t notice that 70% of the plant is GONE 😂. He’s since been banned from coming within 10 feet of him. He got very stretched out over the years cause my dad forgot to water him for a solid year when I was little and no one checked on him until I was placed in charge of his care. He recently got a hardcore haircut that’s spawned a new plant of its own (very proud grandpa over here 🤧), and he looks a bit more like a giraffe than a potential bonsai, but he’s what’s gotten me into houseplant keeping, so he’s still one of my favorites. I like to think he’s waving hello at everyone who enters our house 😊.
5 Me gustaHappy to report he is NOT in the tomato can anymore (yes, he’s survived 13+ years in a tomato can with no drainage. He is a hardy lil dude, and in my defense, that was my dad’s doing as he did break the sole pot we had for him at the time), and he’s already grown back a lot of his leaves since the haircut. I’d also like to add that this dude is 10 YEARS OLDER THAN ME 😂 as he was a housewarming present from my grandmother to my mother when she bought her first house.
4 Me gustaAwww what a beautiful story and how far of a journey this plant has been on, whacky looking but beautiful lol, and the little daughter plant too, so adorable, I hope I have a plant that lasts that long 🥹☺️💕
1 me gustaThank you ☺️ I’m a bit of a helicopter plant parent when it comes to Aslan, since he’s technically my mom’s plant, and a gift from her mother, who has since passed and that my whole family deeply misses. I’ll attach a photo of her 60+ year old jade in hopes of bringing good luck and longevity to all the plants everyone else adds. 🍀
3 Me gustaLove the history on this poor guy✨ keep on thriving elder friend 💪🏼
2 Me gustaWhat a lovely string of turtles! 🐢
0 Me gustaThank you! They’ve been thriving with the sunlight I’ve been getting these past few days. It’s my first hanging plant, so fingers crossed my cat doesn’t get hold of it lol
1 me gustaGood luck 😂 I I’ve got a trailing jade (kleinia petraea) and sedum morganianum for my first two hanging plants. I’m still deciding on where I’d like to hang them 🤔 the trailing jade in particular is an interesting shape right now, since it isn’t quite big enough to go into a hanging planter, and looks more like a top heavy bonsai than a trailing plant, but that’s how she looked when I got her so I’m (im)patiently waiting for her to get long enough to hang.
0 Me gustaThey look very healthy, so you should be able to put them in a hanging pot with no issue soon! (also, I get it, I got impatient with mine, which was tiny when i first bought it. All you can really do is wait!)
