Made a big list of plants I’d like to eventually add to my collection over time, I’m getting a China Money Plant sometime this week or the next, but I don’t know where to go after that. Which one of these should I go for first? Hawthoria Retusa Echeverias Burros Tail Sempervivum Portulacaria Aeonium Graptopetalum Gasteria String of hearts Hoya Calathea Orbifolia Baby tears Watermelon Pepperomia Medallion Calathea Hoya hearts Lemon Button Fern Calathea Dottie Calathea Maui Queen Calathea Rufubarba Boston Fern Bird’s Nest Fern Prayer Plant I did a ton of research on all of these and any of them would work well for me, I just don’t know what to go for first. Also, I love String of Pearls but I have pets and they’re toxic. Is there a safer, alternate option? Thank you all! 😊

String of hearts for sure they are a bit tricky to deal with as long as they get bright light and not too much water your good I have like 5 of them

String of hearts. It surprised me by staying alive from the moment I got it. So far, still going strong. And it’s been a whole winter and a summer. She’s nearly 2 feet long now, and I gave her a wee trim when I repotted her into a shallower pot.

Burro's Tail maybe, in place of the pearls. All the fat juicy strings are toxic usually.

I love my string of hearts. My variegated one actually bloomed this summer, they are really pretty

Love my graptopetalum and echeveria but I feel like most of them look the same 🤪 some of the online retailers have cooler varieties. Haworthiopsis are also great easy going plants!

I would look into Kimberly Queen ferns rather than Boston ferns. My grandma says they're waaaay less picky and they also don't shed their leaves

Here’s one of my favorites… my ‘Flamingo Lily’ anthurium. As you can see, she has one beautiful red bloom, and there are four more coming up. Her flowers last a long time, and even when she has no flowers, she’s presents with beautiful green shiny leaves, and is very graceful looking. So, this is another favorite you might look into. She’s been very easy to raise, with no problems. All she asks for is water, fertilizer, a plant light, and lots of love! 🤗💚🪴l
