I had a new plant parent breakthrough today! I brought home a Manjula (his name is Creamy) yesterday and tried bottom watering today as the soil felt really dry and the pot felt light. After an hour the soil hadn’t watered evenly and the pot was still very light so I decided to check the roots and look what I found! I decided to repot and size up. Still new to the plant world so I’m proud of myself for checking the roots!

i love my manjula! they're such hardy plants. mine survived like 8mo in too big of a pot before i got super into plants 😆 and when i say too big, i mean it went from 10" to 4". they're gorgeous too!

That’s good to know they’re hardy! I guess I expected more fragility with the white patches. I am so in love with the coloring 😍 I’m still new to plants so still learning but it’s been so much fun!

I can’t figure out bottom watering. Some of my plants do great and it wets the entire plants soil but some others only the part that sits in the water get wet so I have to top water them. 🤷🏼‍♀️ beautiful plant!

Mine is growing like crazy in water. As I posted a day or so ago, I’m trying to decide if I’m going to put it in soil or am I going to put it in leca or am I going to leave it in the water.
